Art Gene is an artist-led charity engaging communities in the re-visioning of the social, natural and built environment of Barrow-in-Furness.
We invite specialists to work with us on projects and strategic initiatives, uncovering and celebrating the uniqueness of these coastal islands, bays and docks. We seek out artists, ecologists, radicals, environmentalists, archaeologists, architects and historians - all those who value our place - based approach. Together, and always in a creative dialogue with local people, we design a better future.
