During 2024, three artist residencies were organised by BarrowFull and took place in the town. All three residencies came under the theme of Barrow Dreams.
Past Dreams: Artist Sarah Hardacre worked with women in the town researching and uncovering the stories of Barrow's extraordinary and ordinary women. The project culminated in a co-curated parade in the town centre bringing people of all generations together to celebrate the women in their lives.
Present Dreams: Boxer and Poet Matt Windle worked with men in Barrow, delivering writing and poetry workshops. Participants also made artwork that was exhibited at the Forum in Barrow and participated in a public open mic night at Barrow Underground Music.
Future Dreams: Artist/Creative Practitioners Milly Rolle and Rich Rusk worked with people who live in Barrow aged 60+ and 11-19. They created a series of 360 films that continue to be shared in the town.
