During 2024, three artist residencies are taking place with BarrowFull in the community of Barrow.
Past Dreams: Artist Sarah Hardacre is working with women in the town researching and uncovering the stories of Barrow's extraordinary and ordinary women. Women who've achieved fame and notoriety, been the first females in previously male only jobs, led their fields in engineering and arts and women who've built Barrow and their communities of the town. The project will culminate in a co-curated celebration in the streets of all the sisters of Barrow who make this town one to be proud of.
Present Dreams: Boxer and Poet Matt Windle is working with men in Barrow, delivering writing and poetry workshops, creating art and working towards a larger open mic night in the town.
Future Dreams: Artist/Creative Practitioners Milly Rolle and Rich Rusk are working with people who live in Barrow aged 60+ and 11-19. They are creating a series of 360 films that will be shared in the town later in the year.
