The Askam DropZone Youth Group, led by youth worker Caroline, were given the opportunity to brighten up a bench in the local park. The group also wanted to make a statement about pollution and to encourage others to clean up.
The team worked with ArtWorks - Art4All and did a beach clean collecting plastics and interesting natural shapes. They made a large collage using these shapes to spell out CLEAN UP. This design was adapted to make the bench. The group transferred and painted the bench. Head over to Askam to see what they produced…take a rest and sit on the bench.
